Godly counsel for your important relationships.
We want to help and encourage anyone who needs a little help following Jesus in your most important relationships.
In Dating
In Marriage
In Parenting
As a peer or leader in your workplace
If this is you, we will be glad to meet with you, at no charge, up to three times for counsel and coaching on any related subject of your choosing.
During sessions, we will use God’s Word and our experiences of following Jesus to encourage and teach important relationship principles from the God who invented relationships.
(See below to set up a meeting).
Relationship scenarios we can help with:
As pastoral counsellors, our focus is on helping men and women follow Jesus in their professional and personal relationships. We are equipped and trained to provide helpful council, coaching, and mentoring, with a Jesus-follower framework on a wide variety of personal and professional relationship challenges:
Building relational commitment, trust and closeness:
Identifying and living joint values
Living a Christ identity in professional and personal relationships.
Managing relationship conflicts
Identifying the root of communication issues
Growing spiritually
Building and keeping intimacy in marriage
Navigating life transitions (moves, marriage, childbirth, career shifts, more)
Supportive parenting
Functional development areas:
We aim to provide caring presence and practical and practicable actions for men and women who need encouraging guidance for relationship strengthening, nurturing, or for healing wounds.
Functional areas we address:
Pre-Marriage: Planning ahead for a long, mutually prosperous marriage
Positive identity and image: Developing a positive self-perception.
Guidance: Direction, advice, and counsel to help navigate common relationship challenges and make sound decisions.
Sustaining: Wisdom to help couples persevere in their relationship long-term.
Healing support: Addressing emotional, spiritual, and relational wounds that hinder forward movement.
Reconciling: Facilitating forgiveness, restoration, and healing in relationships.
Nurturing: Fostering spiritual growth, helping individuals deepen their faith and relationship with God.
Empowering: Equipping individuals with the skills and resources they need to live fully and contribute to their communities.
Spiritual growth guidance: Direction for helping individuals deepen their faith and relationship with God.
Productive stress management: Developing mechanisms for managing stress and anxiety, within the relationship or external stressors that may be negatively impacting it.
Individual and joint empowerment: Paths for identifying strengths, setting goals, and taking action to achieve them.
Career planning: Exploring career goals, making career changes, and addressing work-related challenges.
Sexual intimacy: Helping couples deepen and protect their physical intimacy.
Financial planning: Addressing financial difficulties and their impact on relationships and well-being.
Who we can help:
We are here to help motivated persons or couples who want proven God-given solutions and action plans that can help them successfully manage common relationship challenges in homes or workplaces.
For individuals or couples, you must be looking for action plans that will add wisdom and discipline into some area of your personal or professional relationship life.
For couples specifically, you must be looking for mutually respectful solutions. The side we will be taking is “the relationship”.
When clinical help is recommended:
If someone is struggling with chronic conditions or behaviors of mental health diagnoses, we recommend clinical assessments and treatments for specialized intervention.
Chronic conditions: deeply rooted, persistent disorderly behavior, often involving multiple overlapping problems.
Mental Health Diagnoses: personality disorders, severe addiction, trauma-related disorders, or eating disorders.
Our requirements:
We must meet in person for at least the first session. Meeting in person helps to foster better communication and understanding.
We will not meet more than three times. Our intent is to help a person (or persons) develop action plans for elevating a target aspect of their relationship under Jesus’s leadership.
People or couples who desire additional support after three sessions should decide what would help further.
If you want to spend time with like-minded people who help each other keep following Jesus, we can offer help with that.
If you need to meet with a paid psychologist, psychiatrist, or psychotherapist, we don’t make specific endorsements but will be glad to ask some of our ministry partners.
